MSN, PMHNP-BC
Shantel Luciano, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with various psychiatric and substance use disorders.
Shantel earned her Associates and Bachelors in Nursing over 18 years ago and has been working alongside first responders ever since. Before joining PNS in 2023, Shantel worked in several settings as a Registered Nurse. For the past two decades, Shantel worked in Los Angeles County at one of their trauma centers as well as the Los Angeles County Fire Department; this is where Shantel was inspired and led her to her true passion – treating first responders. While obtaining her Master’s degree in Nursing and studying to become a Nurse Practitioner, she fell into her niche – treating uniformed personnel who selflessly serve our communities.
As a Nurse Practitioner, she has spent most of her career exclusively treating First Responders who suffer from various psychiatric and substance use disorders, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, and alcohol use disorder. Shantel also treats the general population in the outpatient setting as well as treatment facilities across California.
Shantel remains committed to providing quality care and support to her patients and their loved ones. She prides herself on building a strong foundation and believes each patient encounter should be based on healthy relationships supported by kindness, compassion, empathy, and respect. Guided by her faith, she believes all patients should be treated conservatively with care unique to each patient.
Shantel is an active member of The American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the California Association for Nurse Practitioners. In her spare time, Shantel enjoys exercising, country concerts, going to church, watching the sunset, and spending time with her family, friends, boyfriend, and most of all, her children.
